We got to see the play.....WICKED

Neff and I went to see Wicked in Eugene. It was a fun play to see, and the writers did a great job transitioning between the two plays. A fun day for sure. Then we raced home to attend the wedding reception of friends...Ryan Folsom and Lauren Thompson. A great day.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORY

I'm not sure if Sean planned it to be a smooth transition event or not. His original mission schedule was that he was to fly to Mexico on September 21st. He purchased tickets to a Britt concert back in May for me for Mother's day. The concert date was Sept. 22 to see Harry Connick Jr. A famous jazz singer, piano player, and performer. After living in Medford for 10 years, we finally went to our first Britt Festival in Jacksonville. Mind you we have wanted to go before, but the scheduled artists and timing never quite worked out. We saw several friends there, and even were invited to the exclusive tasting area, where restaurants share their cuisine. Quite the event. The music was fun, and I reminisced about Sean playing guitar in the Jazz band. Mr. Connick had injured his leg that day, and was on pain medicine. He said he wasn't up to his top performance. It was fun though. Thanks Sean! A great date with dad, and a great day to remember you and your GEEEETARRRR playing years. Thanks for the Memory.

ASH-A-LEEEEEE GOT MARRIED

My niece Ashley got married in the San Diego Temple yesterday. It was an incredible marriage ceremony with exceptional counsel given. I am still pondering the messages shared. The day was beautiful, the sun shining, family and friends gathered, she had beautiful flowers, and we had a beaming bride and groom. Nothing gets better than that. Thank you Ashley for keeping yourself pure and worthy to go to the House of the Lord and receive the blessings and eternal covenants there. We love you and are glad to have you in the family. Congratulations to the new "Christensen Family". Welcome to the family Mike!

Happy New Year...Where did 2009 go?

Well Christmas is over, but the feelings and spirit linger. I am the type of person that loves to listen to Christmas carols anytime of the year. Childhood memories of Christmas's past flood through my mind and the warmth of family and friends returns. We miss being with everyone from Tennessee to Indiana, to Ohio, to Texas, to Iowa, to California, to Arizona, to Idaho, and to Utah...oops and to Nicaragua...almost forgot that one! We reminisce about you and are grateful for you! Being a part of our lives has made us better people and has allowed us to have a piece of heaven while on earth. We think of those who have been a part of our lives that have returned to live with our Father in Heaven...we miss them. Our lives are so blessed to have been molded and shaped by all of your influence and love. May you have a wonderful New Year...

Fire in the Mountains, Fire in the grass....

Today we had a huge fire on the hills on East Medford.
