After years of practice, lessons, and performances...tonight Sean performed in his final Jazz band concert at North Medford High School. It was bitter sweet for me. My bosom swelled as I watched him perform one of his original pieces and cheered with the audience as he played the final string. He is quite the guitarist and I have enjoyed watching him mature in this talent over the years. His teacher Sol Kruger has, on multiple occasions, mentioned how he has enjoyed teaching him and that he is an gifted musician. When Grant left last fall for college, I missed his piano playing. With Sean soon to leave for college, I too will miss his guitar playing. The rich, mellow sound of the strings playing from his room, his devotion to completing his songs... his music filled the air for many months as he composed and performed several pieces for his senior project. I am proud of him and his accomplishments. I will admit I will even miss the jam sessions that He and Alan used to do.
Sean...great job....I love you and I will miss you...you rock!
